FIELD: electrothermal technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrothermal technology, namely to electric arc devices that generate plasma. The electric arc plasmatron contains a spherical hollow body made of non-conductive refractory material, which forms a working chamber. In the body, perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, there are two holes located opposite each other, in which the anode and cathode electrodes are installed, connected to the arc ignition and power supply units with a voltage regulated in terms of level and constant in sign. On the outer surface of the housing, two poles with a winding connected to an adjustable power source are located on the same axis, surrounded by a closed magnetic circuit made in the form of a half cut along a tubular cylinder. The task unit has two outputs, the first is connected to the control input of the plasma-forming gas blower, which regulates its flow rate, and the second is connected to the input of the power supply, which regulates the current in the electromagnet winding. The moving device of the housing contains actuators for rotating the longitudinal axis of the housing in the vertical and horizontal directions.

EFFECT: increasing the uniformity of the plasma flow, reducing the dissipation of plasma energy when moving to the treated surface of the part.
