ELECTRIC ARC PLASMA TORCH FOR MACHINING SURFACES OF PARTS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC H05H1/26 H05B7/18

Abstract RU 2783979 C1

FIELD: machining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrothermal engineering, namely, to apparatus producing plasma for machining surfaces of parts. Electric arc plasma torch comprises coaxial tubular electrodes: a larger diameter anode and a smaller diameter cathode; an electric gas discharge chamber is formed between the inner surface of the anode and the outer surface of the cathode located in the cavity of the anode. The anode and the cathode are covered at one end with an annular lid made of a non-conductive heat-resistant material; the outer diameter of the lid is equal to the outer diameter of the anode, and the inner diameter is equal to the inner diameter of the cathode; equidistant holes inclined relative to the axis of the plasma torch are made in the annular lid; the axes of the holes are perpendicular to the diametrical lines of the lid; thin-walled tubular elements with an outer diameter equal to the diameter of the holes and an inner diameter equal to the distance between the inner surface of the anode and the outer surface of the cathode are inserted into the holes; the other end of the tubular elements is connected to the first supercharger for plasma-forming gas; and another supercharger for plasma-forming gas and the powdered sprayed substance is attached to the inner hole of the annular lid. A conical hollow nozzle made of a heat-resistant material is attached to the other butt end of the anode, wherein channels connected with the channels for the passage of the cooling agent in the wall of the tubular anode are made in the wall of said nozzle.

EFFECT: structural simplification, ensured control of the plasma flux and the amount of deposited material supplied onto the machined part.
