FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of diagnostic maintenance of gas pipelines. Method for determination of centers of developing underfilm corrosion of gas pipelines includes accurate determination of its axis location by route search complex, note here that location of section subject to underfilm corrosion with hydrogen depolarisation is established by means of high-sensitivity hydrogen emission detector, which allows detecting exceeding of preset background concentration value over this section by 10 and more ppm.
EFFECT: technical result is the development of the method of determining areas of the pipeline with underfilm corrosion without preliminary drilling and opening of insulation.
