FIELD: gas and oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ensuring the safety of hazardous production facilities and can be used to control the corrosion rate in hydrocarbon transport systems. The task of creating the present invention is to determine the concentration of hydrogen emitting from the outer surface of pipelines with developing subfilm corrosion of metal. The technical result is achieved by the fact that the device, which includes an electrochemical hydrogen sensor based on a solid electrolyte, contains sensors for measuring the basic parameters of the soil and the environment, an element for determining the location of the sensor and a recording device for controlling operation with the possibility of signaling that the permissible concentration of hydrogen on the sensor is exceeded.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to determine the mass loss of the metal of the corroding section of the pipeline under insulation and to increase the accuracy of identifying the zone of its localization.
