SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry, specifically to a polymer anion-exchange sorbent for chromatographic determination of inorganic anions and a method for production thereof. Anion-exchange sorbent includes, as a polymer matrix, a cross-linked copolymer of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate with particle diameter of 10–20 mcm, chemically modified so that the polymer matrix and the functional tertiary amine group are joined to each other using a spacer group which is 2-hydroxypropyl group, the general formula of the sorbent corresponds to formula (1):

where R1, R2, R3 are selected from the group: alkyl, hydroxyalkyl.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of separation of ions with preservation of short analysis time, simplification and cheapening of sorbent synthesis technology.
