SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modular compression chamber of compression system intended for creation of pressure waves in fluid medium contained in compression chamber. Modular compression chamber 10 comprises a plurality of separate modules 12 and a plurality of connecting means 15 interconnecting modules 12 to receive the wall of chamber 10. Each of modules 12 is characterized by presence of external end surface, internal end surface and side wall passing between surfaces. Each module 12 is adjacent to three or more other modules 12 and is connected to them. Inner end surfaces of modules 12 collectively form inner surface of chamber 10 wall. At least one of modules 12 includes at least one pressure wave generator, which generates pressure waves in the fluid medium.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at creation of strong structure.
