FIELD: military equipment; testing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in testing military equipment, in which explosions of explosive charges are used. Method is based on performing initiation on the ends of explosive charge throwing the most from the striker and at least one additional charge of explosives separated from side surface of throwing charge of explosives by inert layer, but, unlike the prototype, initiation of an additional charge of explosive substances is carried out with the condition of propagation of its detonation with anticipation of propagation of detonation along a charge of explosives throwing striker. To achieve technical result initiation of each additional charge can be performed before initiation of throwing charge, additional charges having detonation velocity higher than detonation velocity of throwing charge can be installed. Device for suppressing lateral expansion of explosion charge products of explosive charge throwing striker, comprises at least, one additional charge of explosives separated from side surface of throwing charge of explosives by inertial layer. End surface of each additional charge, at which its initiation is performed, is removed from the striker by a distance less than the end surface on which the initiating charge is initiated is removed.
EFFECT: throwing of striker by explosion products under conditions of delay of lateral rarefaction waves, which enables to obtain required parameters of striker with reduction of both total weight of used explosive, and overall dimensions of device.
