FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of comparing and synchronizing time scales of remote objects using a fiber-optic communication line connecting objects to fiber-optical reflectometer. Method includes input by means of a combiner of pumping radiation of an SRS amplifier into the analyzed fiber-optic line. Combiner is located between the splitter and the circulator of the modified unit of splitter-couplers BRO-U.

EFFECT: achieved technical result using the disclosed method is increasing the distance of operation of systems for comparing and synchronizing time scales or optical reflectometers, wherein errors in determining time of emission of optical pulses into the analyzed, in case of reflectometry, or connecting remote objects in case of synchronization of time scales, fiber-optic communication line, and errors of determination of moments of reception of reflected pulses remain unchanged.
