FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a catalyst for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of articles containing SCR catalysts and methods of making and using such articles for reducing nitrogen oxides. Catalyst article comprises a substrate having an inlet and an outlet and coated with a first coating comprising a mixture of platinum on a support with low ammonia accumulation and a first SCR catalyst, a second coating containing a second SCR catalyst, wherein the second coating at least partially overlaps the first coating. First SCR catalyst is a Cu-SCR or Fe-SCR catalyst. Carrier is zeolite with ratio of silicon dioxide to aluminium oxide of at least ≥100.
EFFECT: invention improves nitrogen output and reduces formation of nitrogen oxides.
