FIELD: emission gas purification.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a NOx catalyst-adsorber for purifying emissions from a diesel engine on a depleted mixture, where the mentioned NOx catalyst-adsorber contains the first layer, wherein the mentioned first layer consists essentially of platinum group metals, a cerium-containing carrier and the first inorganic oxide; the second layer; one or several additional layers containing platinum group metal (PGM) selected from a group consisting of platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd) and a mixture of platinum and palladium; and substrate having an axial length L; where the mentioned platinum group metals of the first layer consist essentially of a mixture or alloy of rhodium and platinum, wherein this mixture or alloy of rhodium and platinum is on the cerium-containing carrier; where the mentioned cerium-containing carrier is selected from a group consisting of cerium oxide, mixed cerium-zirconium oxide and mixed aluminum-cerium-zirconium oxide; where the mentioned first inorganic oxide is selected from a group consisting of aluminum oxide, cerium oxide, magnesium oxide, silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, zirconium dioxide, niobium oxide, tantalum oxides, molybdenum oxides, tungsten oxides and their mixed or composite oxides; and where the mentioned first layer is located on the mentioned second layer. The invention also relates to an emission purification system for purifying the flow of exhaust gas from combustion and to a method for purifying exhaust gas from a diesel internal combustion engine on a depleted mixture.

EFFECT: development of a new composition of a NOx catalyst-adsorber with improved NOx conservation and conversion parameters, as well as improved CO conversion.
