FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment and is intended for biological control in electronic smoking articles. Smoking article comprises a body comprising a mouthpiece and configured to place a substrate which generates a nicotine-containing aerosol. Control electronics is configured to control the delivery of a certain amount of nicotine-containing aerosol from the substrate which generates the nicotine-containing aerosol through a mouthpiece. Smoking product additionally contains nicotine metabolism sensor located in the mouthpiece and functionally connected to the control electronics. Sensor is located so that when the smoker contacts with the mouthpiece, the sensor can detect a certain amount or concentration of the nicotine metabolite in the smoker's saliva. Disclosed is a smoking system using a smoking article and a substrate which generates nicotine-containing aerosol.
EFFECT: invention provides data relating to the amount of the nicotine metabolite, as well as controlling the delivery of the amount of the nicotine-containing aerosol.
