FIELD: smoking accessories.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to inhalation devices designed so that to enable inhalation of aerosol or steam containing the required drug or ingredient by user. Disclosed is a method of controlling operation of an inhalation device comprising a gas flow channel, through which gas can be drawn by a user-drawn inhale, a gas flow rate sensor inside said gas flow channel and memory; method includes steps of recording a characteristic profile of tightening by a user based on signals from a gas flow rate sensor during a tuning procedure; registration includes recording of gas flow rate, passed gas flow rate sensor during first preset period of time; recording said characteristic profile of tightening by user; recording results of measurement of gas flow rate from gas flow sensor; comparing said measurement results with a recorded in-memory characteristic profile of tightening by a user to determine a correlation degree; and locking or unlocking further operation of the device based on the degree of correlation, respectively, locking or unlocking supply power to the aerosol-generating element.
EFFECT: technical results of invention are creation of simpler, less voluminous and less expensive agents for prevention of unauthorized use of inhalation device and creating means for automatic recognition of the inhaler user in order to provide personalized operation of the device.
