FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the tobacco industry, namely to aerosol generating systems. An aerosol generating system contains a tank enclosing aerosol generating substrate and a compound for product identification associated with the tank. The system also contains an electronic product made with the possibility of placing the tank in it. The electronic product contains electronic control means and an electrochemical sensor-switcher functionally connected to electronic control means. The electrochemical switcher is made with the possibility of switching from the first state to the second state, when the compound for product identification interacts with the electrochemical sensor. Specific electrical conductivity of the electrochemical sensor-switcher in the first state differs from the specific electrical conductivity in the second state. Electronic control means are made with the possibility of initiating generation of aerosol from aerosol generating substrate by a device, when changing the state of the electrochemical sensor-switcher as a result of interaction with the compound for product identification. An electronic aerosol generating device and a nicotine-containing device for using in the electronic aerosol generating device are also disclosed.

EFFECT: increase in the capability of identifying authenticity of the product containing consumable material for generating aerosol.
