FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to veterinary science and can be used for treating idiopathic vomiting in a companion animal. That is ensured by prescribing a dietary composition containing a carbohydrate source, a protein source and a fat source. Said dietary composition contains one or more compounds in an effective amount for inhibiting 5-hydroxytryptamine-3a receptor serotonin (5-HT3a) and/or neurokinin-1 receptor (NK-1). Said compounds consist of at least curcumin combined with ubiquinone-O, piperine, ginger oleoresins and/or riboflavin VB2. Also disclosed is a method of treating idiopathic emesis.
EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to effectively prevent or treat idiopathic emesis in a mammal.
