FIELD: nuclear physics; transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection methods of inner surface of containers for long-term storage and transportation of spent nuclear fuel. Disclosed are three versions of container surface processing. Nickel based antirust coating is applied, container surface is machined and then container surface is chemically treated in series with weak solution of nitric or sulfuric acids and concentrated alkalis. Or pseudo-alloy metals having different electrode potential coating is applied, that is followed by mechanical treatment of coating surface, then, chemical treatment of surface with weak acid solution, capable of interaction with pseudo-alloy more active metal pair, after which surface is treated with alkali solution.
EFFECT: high efficiency of processing surfaces with decontaminating solutions, higher quality of gas-thermal coating, reduced material and time expenses.
