FIELD: printed-circuit boards.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of printed circuit boards. For regeneration of hydrochloric copper chloride or hydrochloric ammonium-copper-chloride copper etching solution ions of bivalent copper in said solutions are reduced to ions of univalent copper with hydrazine or its aqueous solution. Then, electrolysis is performed with graphite cathode, titanium at ic=1–20 A/dm2 and the insoluble graphite anode, Pt/Ti, Pt/Nb with ia=1–5 A/dm2 for reducing the total concentration of ions of one – and bivalent copper. Electrolysis is followed by oxidation of univalent copper ions with atmospheric oxygen.

EFFECT: invention enables regeneration of hydrochloric copper chloride or hydrochloric ammonium-copper-chloride solution of copper etching without formation of toxic wastes subject to decontamination.
