FIELD: defectoscopy.
SUBSTANCE: use: for high-speed ultrasonic rail monitoring. Essence of invention consists in fact, that ultrasonic probing signals are supplied to rail by several unidirectional inclined electroacoustic transducers, obtaining reflected ultrasonic signals therefrom, performing their combined evaluation by a processing means, based on the results of which a defect is judged, wherein the radiation moments of the electroacoustic transducers are selected so that ultrasonic probing signals from them are transmitted to the suspected defect simultaneously.
EFFECT: high reliability of detection and accuracy of estimating defects during high-speed ultrasonic flaw detection of rails.
