FIELD: quality control.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for high-speed ultrasonic flaw detection of long objects. The essence of the invention consists in the fact that the ultrasonic probing signals are periodically radiated into the object of control when the electroacoustic transducer is moved along the object, the reflected ultrasonic signals are received, their parameters are measured, according to the results of which the presence of defects is judged, while a convex-concave piezo plate with a wide directional pattern is used.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability and validity of defect location during high-speed ultrasonic flaw detection.
