FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment and is intended for intracavitary radiation therapy using apparatus for contact radiation therapy for oncological diseases in gynecology. Gynecologic applicator comprises an intrauterine catheter, two lateral catheters and a mechanism connecting them. Intrauterine catheter is provided with a transverse and a longitudinal plank. Lengthwise groove is made to displace lateral guide pin of lateral catheters. Transverse strip is provided with clamps for fixation of the lateral catheters; the non-working sections of the lateral catheters have a bend with radius repeating the bending radius of the intrauterine catheter working section. Working parts of the lateral catheters are connected by means of a ring with radially opposite lobes.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables higher accuracy of administering the absorbed dose to the irradiated organ, reducing a dose in the rectum and urinary bladder and thereby increasing therapeutic effectiveness of intracavitary radiation therapy in gynecological oncological diseases.
