FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a processing plant, and more specifically to voloxidation, spent nuclear fuel. Proposed plant comprises in-series connected hopper, drum-hair dryer, screen and SNF powder cooling assembly. Hopper-bin is made in the form of pipe, nuclear safety of which is achieved by its diameter, and volume – by its length, sufficient for placement in it of fragments of one spent fuel assembly (SFA). Drum-hair straightener is made in the form of vertical flat drum with nuclear-safe thickness of 124 mm and inner diameter of 3,200 mm and volume of 1 m3. To side walls of drum along central axis are welded branch pipes: to front – loading conical branch pipe, to rear – cylindrical branch pipe with screw. Between side walls there are blades secured to them and shell and longitudinal partition wall equipped with cone entering cylindrical branch pipe, and connected to radial ribs to rear wall, blades and cone to form sectoral cavities communicating with cylindrical branch pipe. Blades are made inclined so that at direct rotation of drum they have sharp angles of inclination to shell – α and to front wall – β.

EFFECT: technical result is one-time voloxidation of fragments of one SFA and increased dynamic effect on fragments during their mixing.
