SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biologically active substances of peptide nature used as an agent for treating depression, major depressive disorder, neuropathic pain and possessing neuroprotective activity. Disclosed is use of a pharmaceutical composition containing D-Phe-L-Tyr, for treating or preventing diseases mediated by excess activity of NMDA receptors. Compositions of the pharmaceutical composition can be presented in the form of a solution for injections, as well as drops in the nose.
EFFECT: disclosed pharmaceutical composition can be used in medicine.
