FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diagnostics of rail vehicles and can be used for scientific purposes when investigating dynamic properties of running gears of cars and locomotives. According to the method of calibrating a diagnostic system on the surface of rolling of one or two wheels 2 in a wheel pair of a car bogie one or several pads 3 are welded, which when the car moves along rails 1 cause a sharp rise of the wheel axis, as a result of which an oscillatory process is created. Parameters of oscillations are measured by means of vibration sensors and are used for evaluation and calculation of loads on wheel. Based on the obtained results, a database is created for calibration and adjustment of diagnostic systems. This method significantly widens the database by varying the geometrical sizes of the pads (thickness h and others).
EFFECT: as a result, it becomes possible to create a wide base of reliable data with different forms of defects for unambiguous calibration and adjustment of diagnostic systems when determining technical state of rolling stock.
