FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to mining equipment, in particular to an underground mining machine, as well as a method of mining machine operation. Mining machine comprises a chassis having a first end and a second end with a longitudinal axis extending therebetween, at that, the chassis also has a lower side and an upper side with a yaw axis passing between them, a cutter head connected to the chassis first end, a drive mechanism connected to the chassis and supporting the chassis for movement along the working floor, first light emitter coupled to the chassis adjacent the first end to project light from the chassis in a direction parallel to the axis of yaw so that the light projected by the first light emitter projects the first line on the working surface, a second light emitter coupled to the chassis next to the second end to project light from the chassis in a direction parallel to the axis of yaw so that the light projected by the second light emitter projects the second line on the working surface, wherein the first line and the second line are collinear.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of idle time between cutting cycles due to reduced time of calibration and adjustment of guidance system.
