FIELD: radio equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio engineering systems and can be used, for example, for passive location of an object with a receiver of signals of aircraft telecommunication systems. Said technical result is achieved due to consecutive reception of signals at reception point with unknown coordinates from N'' serially irradiated repeater – transponders of aviation telecommunication systems initiated by a radio emission source with a periodic signal structure and rotating directional antenna – interrogator of aviation telecommunication systems with known coordinates, simultaneous reception and processing of signals of transponders of aviation telecommunication systems, containing information on their location, generating, based on the measured primary spatial-information parameters, corresponding primary coordinates – differences of distances between the receiving point and the "reference" repeater and between the receiving point and each successively-irradiated repeater, as well as determination of the location of the receive point / receiver of signals of aircraft telecommunication systems.
EFFECT: possibility of determining location of a radio signal receiver based on reception and processing of signals of transponder transponders of aircraft telecommunication systems located on aircraft.
