FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to endocrinology and paediatrics, and can be used for studying nutritional status using indirect calorimetry technique in children with glycogen disease. Indicators of indirect calorimetry are determined by the following parameters: rest energy consumption (REC), carbohydrate oxidation rate (COR), fat oxidation rate (FOR) and protein oxidation rate (POR). For each parameter, calculating a value D (range of deviation Max-Min), taken as 100 %, value of one unit of value of normal range (1 CU = 100 %/D), value of range of variability of individual indicator d = Index-Min, expression of range of variability in CU (CU = dx1CU). Personalized norm for the patient is determined by formula: Y = (X-min) ×100 / (max-min), where: X is the value of the indirect calorimetry parameter obtained during the study, which is individual for each patient; Max, min are known values of limits of the range of normal values, individual for each patient; Y is the value of indirect calorimetry parameter obtained during calculations in range from 0 to 100.
EFFECT: method enables assessing the nature of metabolic changes for each child with glycogen disease by detailed study of the nutritional status using the indirect calorimetry technique.
