SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to compositions containing a nutritional composition for use in treatment or diet therapy of phenylketonuria or hyperphenylalaninemia. Use of the nutritional composition for preserving and improving the cognitive function and reducing cognitive impairment in the patients with phenylketonuria or hyperphenylalinemia, wherein said composition contains: a protein fraction, wherein the protein fraction contains less than 0.1 wt. % phenylalanine of total protein content; uridine or its equivalent; docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) or esters thereof; choline, choline salt and/or choline ester, taken in a certain ratio. Use of the composition when preparing the additive for use in diet therapy. Composition for use in food additive with dietotherapy in phenylketonuria or hyperphenylalinaemia.
