FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to control of an internal combustion engine. Summary of inventions consists in that the method can provide for assessment of pressure of exhaust gases flowing in the engine exhaust channel, by difference of the first output signal and the second output signal of oxygen sensor located in the outlet channel, with subsequent control of engine operation depending on estimated pressure of exhaust gases. In one example both first and second of said output signals can be removed during engine operation in alternating voltage mode, after increase of oxygen sensor reference voltage from lower voltage of first value to higher voltage of second value.

EFFECT: disclosed are methods and system of operation of sensor of exhaust gases with variable voltage in internal combustion engine.
