FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of converting cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone, involving reacting an alcohol in the presence of a catalyst and oxygen to form a ketone, wherein the catalyst contains a microporous copper chloropyrophosphate frame, which includes a plurality of noble metal nanoparticles, and the catalyst is either: (i) a monomethallic catalyst based on a noble metal, where the noble metal is selected from platinum, palladium or gold; or (ii) a bimetallic catalyst based on a noble metal selected from: (a) platinum and palladium; and (b) platinum and gold. Invention also relates to a catalyst for converting cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone and a method for production thereof.
EFFECT: present invention enables efficient conversion of cyclohexanol into cyclohexanone.
