FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: elevator system comprises four or more independently movable cabins in each elevator shaft. Lower cabins are connected at four connection points with four spaced apart counterweights. Connection points at different cabins are shifted in horizontal line to prevent mutual interferences between ropes, pulleys, and counterweights. Upper cabin can be connected with one or two counterweights via connection points at the cabin roof. Cabins run in two rail guides, each being arranged on one side of the elevator shaft. Claimed system comprises the motor connected with every cabin by lifting ropes to allow independent displacement of all cabins, existing buildings can be adapted for compatibility with claimed elevators.
EFFECT: invention provides independent operation of cabins in one elevator shaft.
