COMPOSITE GLASS PIPE FOR PRESSURE AND PRESSURELESS PIPELINES LAID BY MICROTUNNELING Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC F16L9/128 B32B1/08

Abstract RU 2717728 C1

FIELD: pipelines.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glass-composite pipe for pressure and pressure-free pipelines and can be used for trenchless pipeline laying by micro-tunneling and drilling-and-drilling drilling at depth of 2 to 80 m and length of up to 1,500 m. Proposed glass composite pipe consists of glass composite pipe and steel or glass composite clutch tightly interconnected by elastic O-rings. Composition of the glass composite pipe includes a matrix based on polyester binder: from 30 to 40 % of mass fraction, continuous and chopped glass fibers: from 10 to 40 % of mass fraction, disperse filler: from 20 to 50 % of mass fraction. Glass-composite pipe is made by the method of continuous winding of reinforcing fillers impregnated with thermosetting binding agents on the basis of unsaturated polyester resins with further hardening. Glass-composite pipe contains at least three layers. Inner layer consisting of polyester resins with reinforcing fillers: discrete and continuous glass windings and glass fiber from chemically resistant glass fiber impregnated with polyester binder. Structural layer consisting of unsaturated polyester resins, glass fiber fillers and quartz sand. Outer layer consisting of unsaturated polyester resins, glass fiber fillers. Thermosetting binder can be polyester or other chemical-, corrosion- and wear-resistant resins.

EFFECT: achieving improved operational characteristics of the device.
