Upper sheet layer 10 has a plurality of first projections 14 forming first intermediate portions 13, which are filled with a highly water-adsorbing polymer and expand to a skin facing side, and a plurality of second projections 16 forming second intermediate portions 15, each of which has a smaller volume than each of the first intermediate parts 13, which are filled with highly water-absorbent polymer and which expand towards the side facing the skin. Surface density of water-absorbing polymer 12 that fills second intermediate parts 15 is less than surface density of highly water-absorbing polymer 12 filling first intermediate parts 13.
