FIELD: radar ranging.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar ranging, in particular, to passive angular-difference-range-finding methods for determining location of radio-frequency sources (RFS). Essence of the invention consists in that at the central point of reception (CRP) additionally measuring bearing on RFS, frequency and width of spectrum of signals detected on the measured bearing are transmit to the peripheral point of reception (PRP), on the PRP signals are received in the frequency range of the RFS operation, the detected signals are relayed to the CRP, the module of mutual correlation function of the signals received from the PRP and signals detected on the CRP on the measured bearing is calculated, and when the magnitude of the correlation function of a given threshold exceeds the difference in the propagation time of signals from RFS to PRP and the propagation time of signals from RFS to CRP, and the RFS coordinates are defined as coordinates of the intersection point of two hyperbola position lines determined by the propagation time difference of signals and bearing on the RFS.

EFFECT: reduced number of RFS signals PRP due to measurement of RFS bearing on CRP.
