RANGE-DIFFERENCE METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE COORDINATES OF A RADIO EMISSION SOURCE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01S3/46 G01S5/06 G01S13/87

Abstract RU 2772812 C1

FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used to determine the location of objects based on radio emissions thereof, including sources of continuous signals of an unknown shape. The claimed method includes reception of a signal of an object in at least three spaced points, retransmission of the received signal with a frequency shift, measurement of the delay between the received signals, calculation of the coordinates of the object based on the measured delays, accounting for the known location of the points, wherein signals are received with conversion to a common intermediate frequency. At all points, the power of the received radio signal of the object is measured, retransmission is performed from a single reception and retransmission point, the retransmitted radio signal is received, and the delay between the received radio signals is measured at all other receiving points, the results of the delay and power measurements are transmitted to one of the reception points. The coordinates of the object are calculated, accounting for the measured powers and correlation of the measured delays.

EFFECT: reduction in the required frequency resource with an increase in the accuracy of determining the coordinates.
