Where R – can be 2-Hal**; 3-Hal**; 4-Hal**; 2,3-Di-Hal**; 2,4-di-Hal**; 2,6-di-Hal**; 2-alkyl***; 3-alkyl***; 4-alkyl***; 2,3-dialkyl***; 2,4-dialkyl***; 2,6-dialkyl***; * – aryl=phenyl, naphthyl; **-Hal = F, Cl, Br; *** – alkyl radicals contain 1 to 3 carbon atoms, characterized by that bromation of arylacetaldehydes is carried out in a chloroform / ethylacete system, and copper (II) bromide acts as a bromating agent.
EFFECT: simple process of producing α-bromarylacetaldehydes and increase of target compounds yield.
