FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metrology and can be used for measurement of sea vehicle (ship) hull vibration located on sea surface. According to the method, when a sea ship moves over the sea surface, its body is probed with radio waves by means of a coherent radar station, a reflected signal is received and a total Doppler signal is extracted, which is then digitized for computer processing. Doppler rolling signal is extracted from the total Doppler signal and subtracted from the total Doppler signal. Device for realizing the method comprises a pulse-coherent radar station, a unit for selecting a total Doppler signal of pitching and vibration of the ship, the output of which is connected to a block of filtration of the Doppler signal of ship pitching, two analogue-to-digital converters, the outputs of which are connected to inputs of the first and second memory units. Outputs of memory units are connected to input of subtracting unit, output of which is connected to input of vibration parameters determination unit.
EFFECT: technical result is high accuracy of determining parameters of vibration of a sea vehicle (ship).
