FIELD: measuring equipment; radar and radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for measuring body vibration of any radio-contrast object located on sea surface by means of coherent radar station. During sea vessel motion in preset section of surface, its hull is probed by means of coherent radar. Extracted portion of probing signal is used as coherent signal and mixed with received signal reflected from ship hull and dispersed by sea surface. Mixed signal is transformed into intermediate frequency electric signal, which is amplified, phase detection for generating video signal is performed, it is amplified, signal is extracted of Doppler frequency, which is then digitized for computer processing. Immediately before ship passes preset section of sea surface and after passage, this section is probed at same azimuth angles and sliding angles, at which ship hull was probed. At that radar signals are subjected to all described above operations. Spectra of Doppler signals scattered by sea surface before and after passage of ship are plotted, averaged, and obtained smoothed spectrum is subtracted from Doppler signal spectrum, which is the sum of signal reflected from ship hull and interferences.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining vibration of moving sea vessel due to more complete consideration of noise generated by scattering of radio waves by sea surface.
