SUBSTANCE: container for a beverage preparation device or a food product preparation device is intended for arrangement of beverage material or a food product and contains code coding information on preparation. Code contains a support part and an information part. Support part comprises at least two support units specifying virtual reference line (r). Information part has an information unit located on a virtual coding line which crosses the virtual reference line (r) at the virtual intersection point. Information unit is located at any continuous distance (d) from said virtual intersection point along virtual encoding line (D). Distance (d) along said virtual encoding line (D) continuously encodes the cooking information parameter value depending on said distance (d). Virtual encoding line (D) is a circle or comprises a circle segment and is arranged such that the tangent line is orthogonal to the virtual reference line (r) at the virtual intersection point, and one or more discrete positions are located on virtual encoding line (D) in known locations relative to location of said information unit along virtual encoding line (D). Said discrete positions either contain or do not contain an additional information unit as a variable for at least partial coding of the cooking information parameter. At least one of the discrete positions comprises an additional information unit.
EFFECT: disclosed is a recipe code and a system container for making a beverage or a food product.
