SUBSTANCE: method of monitoring consumption of containers for a beverage or a food product, comprising: obtaining by the device for preparation of a beverage or a food product information on consumption of containers; updating status information using consumption information, wherein said state information comprises information, detailed number of containers at the location of the device, obtaining the updated state information of the electronic device outside said device; and/or obtaining, by an electronic device over a network from a remote source, replenishment order information, which comprises information detailing the number of containers purchased by the user; and updating the status information using said replenishment order information; and display by electronic device of specified value of margin, obtained from updated information of reserve status.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of monitoring consumption of containers for a beverage or a food product.
