FIELD: valve industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coupling for connection of pipe elements. Elements of the pipe have grooves passing along circumference. Grooves have the first lateral surface conjugated with the first surface of the bottom. First side surface and the first bottom surface jointly form first arc of circle with length of 90°, if viewed in section. Grooves also have a second side surface coupled with the second bottom surface. Second lateral surface is spaced from first side surface and faces it. Second side surface and the second bottom surface jointly form second arc of circle with length of 90°, if viewed in cross section. Third surface of bottom is conjugated with first and second surfaces of bottom and is flat surface. To connect pipe elements, coupling is used, having arched projections engaged with grooves on pipe elements. Arched ledges have semicircular section. There is an unloading groove next to each arched ledge.
EFFECT: invention reduces voltage in angles of grooves in polymer pipes and concentration of stresses in these places.
