FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology used in agricultural industry, in particular to a device for controlling fermentation of natural material: for example, an agricultural product, hay, straw, grain, a bale, cotton, peat. Device (100) for controlling fermentation of natural material comprises: one or more sensors (102), each of which is configured to measure at least one property of natural material (150); container (104) configured to contain chemical reactant (106) for reducing or limiting fermentation process of natural material (150) and having outlet channels. Valve (108) is connected to outlet channels of container (104). Controller (110) communicates with one or more sensors (102), is functionally connected to valve (108) and is configured to process measured at least one property of natural material (150), and is configured to, if the processing result satisfies a predetermined condition, control valve (108) to open it so as to allow release of chemical reactant (106) into natural material (150) to limit the fermentation process of natural material (150). Device (100) can be configured to be inserted into natural material (150), such that device (100) further comprises an autonomous power source (118) for supplying power to device (100), and waterproof casing (116) containing device (100). At that, container (104) is made with possibility of connection with pressure source to ensure penetration of chemical reactive substance (106) into natural material (150) under pressure, and/or container (104) is configured to be placed above valve (108) for the penetration of chemically reactive substance (106) into natural material (150) by gravity when valve (108) is open, and/or valve (108) is made with possibility of connection with pump for penetration of chemically reactive substance (106) into natural material (150) due to pump pumping action.
EFFECT: invention ensures achievement of technical result consisting in improvement of efficiency of natural material fermentation process control with simultaneous preservation of required properties and prevention of its spontaneous ignition.
