FIELD: image forming devices.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an image forming apparatus, and more particularly to a replacement block for an image forming apparatus having magnets with a variable angular displacement for detecting a toner level. Claimed group of inventions comprises replacement blocks for an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. Replacement unit for the electrophotographic image forming apparatus comprises: a body with a toner storage tank, a turning shaft disposed within the reservoir and having an axis of rotation, a first magnet and a second magnet, coupled to the turning shaft and capable of rotating about the axis of rotation in response to the rotation of the turning shaft, wherein the first magnet and the second magnet extend next to at least a portion of the inner wall of the body forming the reservoir, during the rotation of the first and second magnets, the amount of the angular displacement between the first magnet and the second magnet varies depending on the amount of toner in the tank and the first linkage mechanism, it can rotate together with the turning shaft and rotate independently of the turning shaft between the forward rotation stop and the backward rotation stop, wherein the second magnet is mounted on the first linkage mechanism and is spaced angularly backward with respect to the turning shaft rotational direction from the first magnet when the first linkage mechanism is on the forward rotation stop.
EFFECT: technical result is to enable the measurement of the amount of toner remaining in the replaceable unit of the image forming apparatus to warn the user that one of the interchangeable blocks is close to an empty state and also to prevent printing after one of the blocks has been emptied to prevent damage an image forming apparatus.
