FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high-speed switch (1) intended for use in industry or railway industry, where high direct current must be interrupted with high efficiency and exceptionally fast actuation time. Circuit breaker (1) comprises base section (2) located in housing (10) supporting drive mechanism for switching devices containing holding mechanism and releasing mechanism; intermediate section (4) with switching or opening contacts, comprising fixed and movable contacts, and upper arc-extinguishing section (7) in the form of arc-extinguishing chamber, covering said section (4) with switching or opening contacts, intermediate limiting sections provided on both sides of said housing (10), said arc-extinguishing section (7) in form of arc-extinguishing chamber is installed with possibility of sliding on housing (10); lever mechanism extending in transverse direction between opposite intermediate limiting sections, for movement or lifting of arc-extinguishing section (7) in the form of arc-extinguishing chamber in case of verification.
EFFECT: technical result is higher reliability and stability of interruption time.
