FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing biodegradable polymers based on aliphatic or aliphatic and aromatic dicarboxylic acids and aliphatic dihydroxy compounds. This method includes the following stages: a step for esterification and/or re-esterification and amidation reaction, wherein amidation is carried out with polyether triamine, to obtain an oligomer; preliminary polycondensation step to obtain a prepolymer; a polycondensation step to produce a polymer in form of chips; step of washing polymer chips with water having temperature of 40 to 98 °C for 2 to 24 hours and a drying step. Polymers obtained using this method can be used in areas involving contact with food products.
EFFECT: method of producing a polymer which is characterized by viscosity in the entire desired range and improved colour as compared to the polymer without the need to add a chain extender, as well as more cost-effective, environmentally friendly and safer for employees of production plant and environment.
