FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing aliphatic polyesters. Described is a method of producing polyester or copolyester, in which: a) at least one dicarboxylic acid containing from 2 to 12 carbon atoms, and/or acid anhydrides derived therefrom and at least one aliphatic alcohol, containing from 2 to 12 carbon atoms and at least two hydroxyl functional groups, are mixed with each other, and dicarboxylic acid is dissolved in a diatomic alcohol by raising temperature, wherein solution is obtained at 100 °C to 180 °C, b) solution obtained at step a) is added to esterification product, which contains at least one diester and/or at least one oligomeric ester, produced from at least one dicarboxylic acid, containing from 2 to 12 carbon atoms, with at least one aliphatic alcohol, containing from 2 to 12 carbon atoms and at least two hydroxyl functional groups, for reaction in there, and b) reaction product obtained at step b), is subjected to polycondensation or copolycondensation at reduced pressure relative to normal conditions.
