SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of power sources for electronic devices. Method of producing complex nickel-cobalt hydroxide involves first crystallisation when feeding solution containing nickel, cobalt and manganese, as well as a reagent which forms a complex ion, and a base solution, separately and simultaneously, into a single reaction vessel. At that, particles of complex nickel-cobalt hydroxide are obtained. Then second crystallisation is carried out with additional supply of solution containing nickel, cobalt and manganese, solution of reagent forming complex ion, solution of base and solution containing element M, separately and simultaneously, into reaction vessel. M is at least one element selected from a group consisting of Al, Mg, Ca, Ti, Zr, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, Fe, Cu, Si, Sn, Bi, Ga, Y, Sm, Er, Ce, Nd, La, Cd and Lu. A hydroxide containing nickel, cobalt, manganese and element M is formed on particles of complex nickel-cobalt hydroxide.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain an active material of a positive electrode for a secondary battery with an anhydrous electrolyte, which provides a high discharge capacitance.
