FIELD: assistance in vehicle parking.
SUBSTANCE: parking assistance method for a parking assistance device which searches for an empty parking space which satisfies a predetermined condition around the mobile object and displays first auxiliary image in position of empty parking space on surrounding image. First auxiliary image is a top view of a region including a mobile object, wherein the first auxiliary image indicates an empty parking space. Method of parking assistance includes steps of determining whether a movable object turns, and when it is determined that movable object is turning, display of first auxiliary image is prohibited.
EFFECT: higher safety of vehicle parking.
