SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to therapeutic dentistry, and can be used for early diagnosis of the clinical form of oral mucous membranes leukoplakia. Morphometric and immunohistochemical examination of biopsy material of cheek mucosa epithelium from lesion focus is performed. Using S. B. Stefanov's random step morphometric mesh, the mucosal structural components areas are determined, which is expressed as a percentage of the total area of the cut, and using G. G. Avtandilov’s morphometric ocular mesh, cell tissue composition is determined, expressing the number of cells in percentage of their total amount in the cut. Depending on the derived values, a flat, erectile or erosive-ulcerative form of leukoplakia of the oral mucosa is diagnosed.

EFFECT: invention increases accuracy and objectivity of the method by obtaining differential quantitative characteristics of pathological keratosis processes of the oral mucosa, which are early diagnostic criteria of various clinical forms of leukoplakia.
