FIELD: radio engineering instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in devices of high-frequency switches. Multimode switch comprises an input port; first and second output ports; a first output arm comprising a first switching element configured to vary the impedance of the first output arm; a second output arm comprising a second switching element configured to change the impedance of the second output arm; and an input arm comprising a third switching element configured to vary the impedance of the input arm; wherein the first and second switching elements are made with the possibility of grounding to change the impedance of the corresponding output arm in the mode of transmitting all power to the other arm, third switching element is configured to introduce an inhomogeneity into the transmission line in the form of a matching element or circuit for changing the impedance of the input arm in divider mode, note here that matching element or circuit has purely reactive resistance opposite to sign and modulus of reactance caused by mismatch of output arms in divider mode.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities based on the formation of a simplified millimeter range switch, which is capable of operating both in switching mode of one port, when all input power must be supplied only to one of output ports, and in power divider mode, when input power should be divided between output ports, as well as reduction of losses at high frequencies and simplified design in printed-circuit boards.
