FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a glucose-responsive delivery composition for treating diabetes in a subject in need thereof. Composition contains: amphiphilic polymer material, wherein amphiphilic polymer material contains hydrophilic polymer conjugated with hydrophobic group hypoxia-sensitive, wherein the hypoxia-sensitive hydrophobic group contains a hypoxia-sensitive fragment which can be reduced in the presence of a hypoxic environment to form a hydrophilic fragment, wherein the hydrophilic polymer is selected from a group consisting of a polyamino acid, a synthetic block copolymer and a polysaccharide, and the hypoxia-sensitive hydrophobic group is nitroimidazole; diabetes treatment agent; and a glucose-oxidising agent. Invention also discloses a nanoparticle, a vesicle, a micro needle-like matrix, a closed-insulin delivery system, a method of delivering an agent for treating diabetes, a method of producing a micro needle-shaped matrix.
EFFECT: invention provides fast delivery of insulin to a subject in response to changes in blood glucose and virtually painless.
