Self-identifying flat calibration object for measurement means of the optical range, invariant to the zoom operation, consisting of a square recognition area located in the centre of the object, divided by two diagonals into four triangles, two black and two white alternate colours, characterized in that the recognition area is intended for determining coordinates of the centre of the calibration object to determine the size of the marker and the encoding region boundary consisting of two strips located opposite the two bands of the restriction region relative to the recognition area square, and divided into square zones of black and white colour, intended for encoding by binary code of identifier-number of this calibration object, and used for automatic decoding of identifier of calibration object.

EFFECT: technical result is wider range of means.
